Friesian mares are an interesting mix of characteristics.
They seem very proud and spirited, almost "cocky",
as if they know how magical they are. Still, they are gentle
and extremely people-friendly whether they be under saddle,
in harness, or nurturing their babies. We find them full of
personality and vigor, but sweet and trustworthy. High quality
Friesian mares are often used for breeding, and can be quite
valuable. Most often, it is easiest (and more afforable) to
purchase a mare as a mere babe, before she has been judged
as premium or star breeding stock. This is especially true
if you are looking for a mare to ride or drive, rather than
one for breeding purposes. Below is a list of our mares.
